Author Notes: This is a handsome, clean foliaged large shade tree. The new leaves emerge bright yellow in the spring and exude a radiant glow to entire tree. Another underutilized tree in the landscape and can be a prolific bearer of acorns. The flowers of oaks are noticeable but not ornamental.
